The Philadelphia Dance Academy (PDA) is an award-winning dance school with locations in Old City Philadelphia and Ardmore, serving children, teens, and adults throughout Philadelphia and the Main Line. For more than 20 years, we’ve provided professional instruction in ballet, contemporary, theater dance, Pilates, and more in beautiful, sunlit studios featuring professional Stagestep dance flooring. Our experienced faculty focuses on refined technique, dancer wellness, and individualized instruction to help every student reach their full potential.
Trio Variazioni brings together three distinguished chamber musicians whose careers encompass international performance, teaching, and artistic collaboration. Violinist Min-Young Kim, a founding member of the Daedalus String Quartet and Quartet-in-Residence at the University of Pennsylvania, has performed with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Musicians from Marlboro, and American Chamber Players, and has taught at Columbia University and the School for Strings. Cellist Clancy Newman, a First Prize winner of the Naumburg International Competition and recipient of an Avery Fisher Career Grant, enjoys an acclaimed career as a performer, composer, and educator, appearing throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia while serving on the faculty of Princeton University. Violist Meng Wang, a member of The Philadelphia Orchestra, previously served with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and as Principal Viola of the Kansas City Symphony. An active chamber musician, he has collaborated with artists including Yo-Yo Ma, Joshua Bell and Pinchas Zukerman, and has performed at leading concert halls and festivals around the world. Together, the members of Trio Variazioni share a passion for imaginative programming and meaningful artistic engagement with audiences.
